Compare PDFs applies the requested PDF operation and generates a new document. Processing is local where supported, and MakeFileWork does not turn the existence of a download into a claim that every feature of the original PDF remains unchanged.
The result is serialized again as a PDF and the properties this operation can prove are checked, such as page count and order, rotation, crop, final size or successful document creation. The evidence shown belongs to the actual output rather than an estimate made before processing.
PDF files can contain forms, links, signatures, layers, embedded fonts and other objects. Some operations —especially aggressive compression or flattening— may trade those features for the requested result. When that can happen, the workflow discloses the limitation instead of hiding it.
Use this tool when the PDF opens correctly but needs one specific transformation. If the document is corrupted, cannot open, or a portal rejects it for several simultaneous requirements, diagnose/repair it or use the upload-requirement workflow first so the operation addresses the real cause.

For important data, compare a representative sample and confirm that format, content and quality meet the actual requirement before replacing the source file. Also open the generated file in the destination application when compatibility, colour, transparency, layout or compression matters.
The tool compares page count, extractable words and text similarity for each page position. It does not pretend that scanned images or layout-only changes are text changes: those need OCR or visual comparison.
