Lossless page-box cropping
MakeFileWork changes each page's visible crop box locally. Selectable text, vectors and embedded images are not re-encoded, so quality is preserved.
Cropping is not redaction
Content outside a PDF crop box can remain recoverable. Never use cropping to remove confidential information; use a true redaction workflow for that purpose.
When to use it
Crop wide scan margins, black scanner edges, printer marks or excess whitespace. Use the same percentage margins across the document so mixed page sizes remain proportional.
