When PowerPoint will not open a presentation

A PPTX is a ZIP package containing presentation XML, slide parts, relationships and media. An interrupted save, damaged copy or broken ZIP directory can make PowerPoint reject the whole deck even when many slides still survive.

What MakeFileWork verifies

After recovering the container, MakeFileWork checks required OOXML package parts, confirms the PowerPoint presentation main part and inspects slide references. If a slide part is proven missing, the repair can conservatively remove only that dead manifest reference and dangling relationship instead of pretending the lost slide was recovered.

For repaired PPTX files, MakeFileWork can show a bounded slide-by-slide text preview locally before download. This provides evidence that useful presentation content survived. Missing slides, images, charts, animations or other lost content are never fabricated.
